MY BIO
Your Host, The Artist, Ms Millee
I began playing for the Youth Church Choir at age 14 and I've been singing, playing and teaching Gospel Music every since. I've continued to serve various churches as musician for 50 years. I've organized and directed choirs, sang in the Travelettes 15 yrs, I've helped organize and direct the Wake Forest Community Choir aka "Psalm 100". Honestly, I just love what I do. God has blessed me and my years of experience have given me knowledge and great love for the community, music and radio.
From the piano in my parent’s living room, to crowded stages, I've made a name for myself in the area; and my radio broadcast has afforded my name to go and grow in areas beyond.
I am an incredibly passionate Radio Host. I landed my first job on air at WTSU in 1978 and jumped back into radio locally in 2006 at WAUG. In 2009 I had the distinct honor of proclaiming the third Sunday in November, "Living Legends of Quartet Day" in Wake Forest, NC. In an additional effort to preserve Traditional and Quartet Gospel Music, I've assisted my Mother Eunice, the Quilter Extraordinaire along with United Arts, Renea King, Frances Watkins and the late Eunice Wilkerson Evans in the signature collection, creation and exhibition of her Signature Gospel Quilt series of churches, businesses, artist and Gospel lovers across the country. "In this photo, one of the quilts is displayed in the back."
In my New Chapter, The "Pandemic Song", Stop n Listen, is my first solo recording and I'm feeling extremely proud. Yes, I'm ready to start working with you on any projects you may have in mind.
